One of our favorites, and very stable phenotype at about F-8 at this point. We suspect that this was originally the Barney’s Farm Red Cherry Berry. We obtained the Regular seeds from an excellent grower in Puna way back in 2005. At that time it was clearly bred for sea-of-green indoor production. We chose phenotypes over several generations that has a more branching habit, and now the cultivar is more closely resembling the favored pine tree shape. We estimate that this strain is about 80% Indica. The flower clusters (buds) are very dense and tight, and the yield is high in terms of weight due to the dense buds.

Barney Berry has a sweet floral scent as it grows, with a rich resin production that is perfect for creating extracts.

We have used Barney Berry as an ancestor for many of our best hybrids. In tropical climates it is important to have looser buds such that the moisture does not permeate the flower clusters and cause wet-rot. If you grow your plants in dry areas or indoors then this is an excellent choice for a combination of. High yield, quality, and excellent resin production.
